I just found out I was awarded 4-yr NROTC scholarship!

Yay!!!!!!

Thank you all for helping me back in January prepare for my officers interview! I had a great interview, and now I've been awarded the scholarship!

I don't know if I should laugh or cry! :)

Congratulations!!!

Which NROTC unit were you assigned to?

Congrats! I'm still waiting to hear from my recruiters... no update on the site yet.

GreatAmerican, there is a blank in the online notification where it says unit. I think I am ever catching this in mid-update. But my first choice of college was VMI.

AterBlue, my status was updated on the online status page only tonite. I'll be crossing my fingers for you too! :)

Congratulations!!! My S is still waiting. Can you please post your stats? Thank you!!!

Congrats DSL1990, My S is a jr. in the NROTC program at our big state u. Good luck to you.

I talked to the recruiter today... he said the last selection board is meeting this week. They canceled the one originally scheduled to be last- which was in two weeks. For those of you still waiting with me, I know that there are still three possible decisions... 1) Yes 2) No 3) Wait list. Last year all the applicants from my state (OH) who were wait listed got in (according to my recruiter), but they didn't know for sure until June. All of the decisions from this weeks board are supposed to be released before the 20th.

Joe

ok. they've assigned a unit to me today:
