I just got accepted off the GeorgiaTech waitlist. Odds of the acceptance being rescinded?

This morning I got the text that I was accepted off the waitlist and I now have 2 days to pay my enrollment deposit.

Let’s just say that COVID-19 has been pretty terrible for my studies. Luckily I did graduate HS with all As (however my Spanish 2 class was completely canceled) this semester. My main issue comes to my Community College classes which have been… EXTREMELY difficult. Before COVID-19 I had a 96% average exam score in both my Calculus 3 (Multivar Calc) and Differential Equations classes (Including the Linear Algebra I was taking unofficially for fun). However the second we went online everything fell apart and my professor (who is one of my absolute favorites and is a fantastic teacher) is keeping his extremely strict grading scale and I don’t know if it’s just that I can’t learn Math online or if it’s due to external stresses also caused by COVID-19 but the exams I took online have a 50% average bringing both my classes to Cs with one of my classes being literally impossible to get a B even if I get 100% on the final and the other requiring a 95% on the final to get a B which… I honestly do not know if that is possible at this point.

I really don’t know what to do as I also really cannot afford to put this $250 deposit just to be rejected in the end for subpar grades. GeorgiaTech is easily my #1 choice too but I have a feeling I really messed this up.

TLDR: I got all As my last semester of HS (however my Spanish 2 class was canceled so no credit for that) but I’m getting two Cs in my Community College classes (Calc 3 and Diff Eqs).

Pure Mathematics Major btw

I highly doubt they will rescind your acceptance over 2 Cs in beyond HS level math classes, especially during covid. People get rescinded for senior Ds and Fs sometimes, but not Cs. You will be fine. Now you may want to consider not transferring the credit and taking one or more of the classes over at GT if you feel you haven’t mastered the material.

Very low. Between COVID and the fact that these are college classes, I think you could even be okay if you failed them—given you write to them and explain your situation. I am not even close to being an expert, but I have a very strong hunch.
