I just got my housing offer! A couple questions...

kick,
have you seen sproul?

kick53rv3, awesome, thanks, I had no clue about that. I'm actually really starting to like Hedrick, might just be now that I'm in it, but ah well. :]

calitennisgirl, you just have to do a little clicking around, scroll down in that link to "View, Print, Or Make Initial Payment..." then click "View..." again on the menu on the right. Think you have to log in after that, then you're set. Let us know where you're in afterward!

oh ok found it!! hey i signed up for double.. they gave me triple! can i change or call them?!?

Most freshmen end up with triples. It's really really really rare for a freshmen to get a single/double =(

are you serious? how stupid.

lol yeah i seen sproul duckedtape, i walk by it at least once a day going to lunch or dinner (covel has better food than de neve for sure!) did the thing tell you guys which floor you are on?

no we didnt
does sproul look any better after the renovation?

yeah it does look better, like the windows are nicer, all the furniture look new in the wooden color instead of the white paint in dykstra... I think they'll have a open house day for the new building once they finish (not really sure but if they do i'll go take the pictures) if not then they'll be open in summer session c, which im taking so i might see some of you guys who go to later orientations

I got a triple plaza, shared bath in Heidrick Summit. Does anybody have any personal experience with this one? I like that it's near a hall, so I'm close to other freshmen, but also get the quiet of the plaza. I don't mind distance from campus, and am happy to have AC! But do any of you know what it's like to share a bathroom with five other people? Is a triple plaza just as cramped as a triple residence hall?
Thanks! : )

thanks kick
im doing fsp so im sure well run into each other

triple plaza isn't too cramped, in my plaza there is enough room for 4 people to sleep on the ground (yes we did have 4 people at once) since they are all around 6 feet I say there is about 6 square feet of room in the middle of the room with beds on the sides... all the plazas are close to halls but the thing is unless you knew people in those halls you don't randomly venture into them to make friends, plus you need to live in the halls to get into the building :0

duckedtape: where do FSP house in? do you guys commute or did they assign a building for FSP?

We stay on campus and they assign a building for us. I know that some previous years they did reiber or whatever its called. But they might changed it this year. Ill keep you updated.

Thanks kick! That was really helpful. It sounds like ithe plazas aren't too terribly cramped-- at least better than the halls. (haha, and I won't go randomly lurk it in the hall. I have a friend who goes to my school that's been assigned there, so it's nice to be close enough to visit.)
Anyway, thanks again! : )

cool, im really hoping that they can give me my room for next year during summer session c so 1. people won't sabotage it before we move in and 2. i don't have to move in twice :) I think you guys might still be in rieber this summer (when does FSP begin and end?) because I think terrance is used for orientation, vista is for cheer and athlete camps... I doubt they'll send you incoming freshmen to hedrick since its so far lol
but anyways this is actually a pretty good distraction between problems for homework, finally finished :)

FSP begins like july 30something and it ends like 2 weeks before we actually move in. So im going to have to move in like 2. haha.
Also did you take loans through this website?
https://opennet.salliemae.com/

oh yeah then you won't be in sproul since session c starts on the 4th of august, so the only opinion left is rieber hall... no idea about the loans, i took "loans" from my parents :) also i doubt sproul has wireless in individual rooms, most buildings except dogwood and cedar have wireless in lounges only

triple in sproul hall. hollahollaaaa =]

Just wait to you get here! LOLOLOLOLOLOL

Ask Liyana about that long walk to Hedrick.

how weird.

on the housing app i requested a triple/shared bathroom plaza.
they gave me de neve plaza. de neve is all private bathrooms right? ...i wanted a shared bathroom =[

and i even requested facility type as priority. and no roommate requests either. how weird is that? is there anything i can do?
