this may sound stupid (and it's totally off-topic) but how do you quote like that from some1 else's post... LOL thankssss

I use the quote and /quote tags. Replace the asterisks with brackets (like so: [tag] and [/tag]). Use the unslashed quote at the beginning, copy the quote in between, and put the /quote at the end.

congrats, Meagan and Fezeatspez!!!! :-D

just testing this out... lol

woah thats crazy.. what other commands are there besides quotes, and like colors/sizes that sybbie always uses.. (u rock Sybbie lol)

lol. shorty's a girl, for future reference

wheeee~ i was quoted!
Yes, i'm a girl, but i can sing low. hence alto II! lol

Hi everyone. I've been kind of sitting here on the sidelines spectating for the past week or so checking out the news on the liklies and anxiously awaiting one for myself. fingers still crossed But now i'm registered and this is post #1.

Just wondering...Has anyone from Virginia gotten a likely?

hey, charlit, welcome to CC!

so glad your first post is on the D board lol. Is it your first choice?

not sure about VA likelies, sorry

No, i'm afraid to commit to any first choice...more of a let down in april, but Dartmouth is definately up there.

Yeah I've been through all the other boards...the D board has the most down to earth people from what I've read, so here I am.

I was just wondering because I haven't heard of any likelies from the applicants at my school (like 8 or 9) only my friends in Connecticut and New York got the good news.

Welcome Charlit!! ;]
yea..i don't really know much about Virginia likelies, either.
wow.. 8 or 9 people applied to Dartmouth from your school?
your school must be really competitive.

just wanted to thank everyone who said congrats!

i appreciate it! :)

Charlit, what school do you go to? I'm from NoVa too, and haven't received a likely...I'm just hoping to get in!

oh wow, i'm gonna be repeating charlit.
i'm new too and i've been browsing through cc for a while now. my friend told me about this site some time ago and i finally decided to join. all this is new to me, but i'll try to familiarize myself with everything. oh and this is my first post too. :P

much congrats to everyone who got their likely letters. yayy that must be so exciting. i wish i got one. and i'm abroad for the spring break so i wont be able to check my mailbox till the end of march. anxiety. :(

and sybbie sounds like the nicest person ever. all her posts are informative and supportive. i like this home-y feel of this board. :)

charlit, i'm from va too and i haven't received a likely. but i'm not really expecting one. just out of curiosity, did you have an interview?

for charlit, cavalier302, and misty:

i'm from NoVa, and i got my likely on 2/22-ish; i think that was the second wave. i know two other people from my school who got D's likelies, both from the first wave (about three weeks before i got mine). so i don't think D sends likelies by states, but rather by how they process the app's (i turned mine in pretty late/1 day after deadline).

Welcome to the Dartmouth Board!!!!!!!!!!

Lol haha, sorry not trying to over-do it... anyways just a quick question to every1 on the board (since the topic was brought up) - how many people from your respective high schools have applied regular decision to Dartmouth, and how many have already been accepted early decision?

From my school, one girl was accepted ED, and I believe 4 (or possibly 5) of us are applying RD...

* Welcome Charlit & Misty*

Aleck,

Cant beleive that you did not show up to our snowday. We had lessons on colors, font sizes, bold italics, etc.

Here is the link for you

Here is the link to the smilies

Got no problem passing on the wealth.

Gracilisae,

Did your likely letter or the e-mail specifically extend an extension for you to come to Dimensions? If yes, there may be funds to subsidize your trip.

Senior (old lady, not graduating h.s.) moment: Are you from the NY,NJ.CT metro area? If yes, call ad see if you can catch a ride on the bus coming from Penn Station. Either way, they will still host and feed RD students who attend.
