I just got rejected and im waiting for more rejections

@“VA–>NC” I applied to one rolling admissions school though I did get accepted I didn’t get enough aid. Thank you so much for your reply and your support. I will look into more schools with rolling admissions and that are within my budget. I’ll keep you updated. Once again thank you for talking to me.

Do you live in the US? If not, you have to add travel expenses and probably health insurance to the costs.

What does this mean? Are you an international student living here? DACA? Mom has very high income? If int’l or DACA, some of your schools may have still required you to fill out a paper FAFSA and/or CSS Profile. Have you met all the application requirements for the schools you applied to?

You applied to a lot of tough schools. I understand if you were looking for FA, but surely some other publics might have been a good idea. Skidmore is very selective now. Most of the others are “lottery” schools. You might be lucky at Earlham and St. Lawrence, but if those don’t work out, there are other options. I suggest you apply to some of the colleges that are still accepting apps. It seems that you are in NY. Apply to one of the SUNYs that are still taking apps. Or, take a gap year. Or, start at CC and transfer. Or, wait for the clearing house list from NACAC on May 2 or so, which will list colleges with open seats.

In another thread the OP said “I have a 87 gpa and 1170 sat score but I have a good essay I think. And I’m also applying as an international student.”

It is tough for international students so it is great you have an affordable option at Queens College. Be proud of your accomplishment. Consider any additional acceptances to affordable schools to be a bonus.

What’s the point of applying to schools you’re sure you’ll get into? It’s great that you’re reaching. Kudos to you!
Don’t stress too much. You’ll end up where you need to be.
Happy Birthday!

@Mwfan1921 I’m a international student living in the United States so I don’t qualify for fafsa

@priyaraz thank you !

Ah, that’s some important information that you might have mentioned at the start.

I am not trying to make you feel badly about your situation, honest. Please be aware though that with your stats, and as an international student hoping for merit aid, you are very likely fighting a losing battle. I suspect you will get into at least one of your schools, but please don’t be surpised if you aren’t offered any money. It’s difficult enough for students with very high stats to get merit aid. I do wish you the best, no matter what happens.

Please understand that it is NOT going to be a personal rejection of you. Your situation and stats is simply going to make things more difficult for you.

@Taraiwbsosd8505, I will keep it real with you with a 87 average and an 1170 you did great to get accepted to Queens and Baruch. There are a lot of NYC kids who would love to be in your shoes. By living in NYC, you are being charged in City rates. Your parents can pay up to 12k, so you have an affordable option.

Op would be full pay at SUNY.

As an international student, your ability to pay will be a factor at a lot of your schools because there is limited aid international students.

What major are you thinking of?
Are here on a visa?
Baruch is really hard to get into BTW, and Queens is a decent school that is affordable. So, congratulations - you’re going to college
