I just got this e-mail, what are my chances?

What does this mean, my friend read it and he says im defintily accepted.. what do you guys think? BTW im a transfer student.

{We have completed our initial review of your application materials and determined that you are a competitive candidate for the Fall 2010 semester. However, according to our records you have not completed all of the pre-requisite course requirements for your selected major of Pre-Engineering. If admitted, you will be assigned an advisor in University College with a major of UC Transition. Your advisor will work closely with you to prepare for the major of your choice and assist you with declaring a major when you have met all pre-requisite degree requirements.

A final decision letter will be mailed to your permanent mailing address within the next week to 10 days. If you have any questions please feel free to contact our office.}

bumpity mcbump

well, I would take that as a good sign- you’re a “competitive candidate.” It seems that the problem that they pointed out shouldnt be a factor in their decision making, but is rather only a factor if you attend. don’t fret too much.

You were accepted to the school but not the engineering program but you can start your engineering classes if you get your grades up.

My GPA is 3.5 and I will have met all the requirements by the end of the current semester so im not worried… is it really a sure sign I was accepted?

anybody familiar with these emails?
