I am on day three of no facebook. I stopped cold turkey.

It's horrible. I keep having dreams about fb.

The other day I got on the computer and automatically typed in "facebook.com" in the browser.

pats shoulder strength, man, strength

Wow, I'm not that strong willed. facebook = life.

seriously, dreams? creepy.

just resort to checking everyone's AIM profiles.. all the time. it helps.

Did you give it up for lent or just because?

What do you and facebook do in your dreams?

I gave up chocolate for Lent.

I'm sure that bedrumfront and facebook have intellectual conversations about life in bedrumfront's dreams.

why are you giving up facebook?

Well, my friend convinced me to give it up for Lent. I accepted on a whim, overlooking how addicted I was. Exactly how addicted was I? It's hard to say, but I averaged about 3 hrs./day, and it kept me from focusing on anything for more than 1/2 hour because my computer was right there and it was too tempting to "just check" fb.

So, after one successful day, I decided I should keep it up.

Furthermore, I feel that part of the addiction tp FB is its gossip. It's almost like stalking, if you think about it. If you are "friends" with somebody, you can waste hours learning everything about their life, you can read every wall post, picture comment, spend your time looking at all their pictures, reading their notes...and so on. if you have a crush on a "friend" it's even worse and harder to get over, first because it's way too easy to obsess over the person, all you have to do is go to their profile. I am not blaming FB exactly, because obviously everyone in FB is willingly taking part in it, but still, the line between stalking and checking out a "friend's" profile is way too thin. Plus, I didn't have the will power to stop myself.

I literally was addicted to FB, it was almost like a drug. Just logging in caused my pulse to jump, and put me on the edge of my seat. I couldn't wait to see what was new with so and so, and who had posted on my wall.

Now I'm using CC to fill the void. It's not so bad being addicted to CC because its not really exciting for me (I am already into college). More like a way to pass the time.

For lent I'm giving up...video games.

it was either that or movies

I've given up Taco Bell for Lent.

For anyone that knows me, yeah, that's a big deal.
