I Know...I Know...

So I'm currently Sophomore in high school, and I'm looking at everyones stats and I have nothing similar to them. I know I have time to do extra stuff like volunteering, shadowing, etc...

I'm currently studying for the SAT, and that is my current priority along with keeping my grades up. However here is where I need help:

I currently go to a very small high school ( about 8 kid in the high school). My school offers no AP classes and only gives honors English (which I am currently taking). I currently have a 4.0 GPA and am taking pre- calculus.

With all that being said, I know I currently have no chance of getting into any BS/MD program, and this is how I plan to make up for it:

I am going to self-Study AP Biology and chemistry over the summer and I'm planning to take the test next may. I may self study some more APs depending on if I have time.

Next year I'm going to dual enroll to my local CC. I plan on taking
Freshman comp, and one may class because my school does not offer calculus. So I have one question here. Would it be better for me to take calculus (call it home schooling if you want...), or should I take the may class at my CC? I'm not sure what math class I would take because I first need to take the placement exam. But I do know that the math classes would be one of these: college algebra, college trig, pre calculus, or calculus 1. If do get into one of the higher level math classes I'm afraid that I Might new up my GPA, and therefore I'm somewhat afraid to take the class, so would BS/MD programs like it better that I took harder a harder class, and showed some ambition? What is your opinion on this matter?

I'm currently about to finish 100 volunteer hours at a hospital, and am currently working at a shop. (my dads gift shop). And im playing basketball in a league. My school dies not have any sports team. I don't have any outstanding ECs and that's worrying me. Im not in any clubs ( my school has none) and there's no leadership positions in my school. I plan to shadow a physician soon, but other than that I have no clue what to do. Will these EC's be looked down upon my admission officers? Please help, I'm really stressed out over this...

I know everyones probably going to blast me on here to tell me that imm to young to be worrying shot this, but I dot think that's true, especially if someone wants to get Into a BS/MD program. Therefore I implore everyone to please time me input and advice. Becoming an orthopedic surgeon. It is my calling.

Looking forward to your responses. Every single piece of advice would be very helpful. :)

Btw, sorry for any spelling mistakes, I'm writing this from my phone.

First of all, I don’t think anyone could argue that you’re worrying too soon. BS/MD programs require a lot of planning for success. Probably the most important factor for BS/MDs is SAT. Make sure you do well, (2200+ is ok, 2300s solid). Your high school is really messed up, where do they send people to colleges without offering any extracurricular opportunities? But continue the volunteering, get some shadowing in. Another helpful thing is research. Contact professors in a local university and seek an opportunity in a lab. These programs look for course rigor so side with the harder classes, so the AP self-study doesn’t sound like a bad idea. Clubs and stuff aren’t particularly important, but it’s good to show that you have interests outside of medicine so continue activities like sports that you participate in. But it seems like your school really inhibits you and application readers probably would have never heard of your school so they may not be aware of the fact that your opportunities are limited, but hopefully this is not the case. Good luck.
