I know my calculus, it says you+me=us

<p>Okay, I'll be applying to NCSSM this year. I realize you guys probably don't have much experience with this school.... so I'm looking for reactions in general. Teachers and sci/math professionals comprise the acceptance board. Any comments are appreciated... </p>

<p>(CD 3) ~32/~150 people will be accepted out of my area. </p>

<p>9th grade: Honors World History, Honors English I, Honors Writing, Honors Engineering, Honors apps of science, Geometry, Algebra II, Honors Pre-cal, AP Art History</p>

<p>4.75w 3.86w 95.4/100 (90 in Algebra II... I did the entire course in the last 3 days)
School does not rank/70 students</p>

<p>(No honors possible in Geometry/Algebra II... school does not offer APs and I'm the only one taking them online)</p>

<p>10th grade: Honors English II, AP Calculus BC, AP Physics B, Dual Enrollment SPA 111 (Standard), DE SPA 112 (Honors), DE SPA 211 (H), DE SPA 212 (H), DE General Biology I (H)</p>

<p>Self-study a few APs</p>

<p>Expected SAT: 2100+</p>

Advisor to the Board of non-profit, Advisory member of Art Club, Founding, Captain Varsity Science Olympiad Team, Mayor's Youth Council Parliamentarian, Teen Court Attorney, Church Handbell Choir ringer, Church Youth Group member, Christian Fellowship Club member, Think Tank member
,Strategic Boards Club Member, Varsity Golf, Tae Kwon Do (Black belt)</p>

<p>ECs (Expected 10th only): County junior historian, founding math club, founding Spanish club, should be a school ambassador, vying for a state position with a state government organization, Running for student government office</p>

<p>Awards: 1st place County Science fair: Technology, Science Olympiad 3rd place Regional Varsity Astronomy, School student of the month March 2008, 1st Place Tae Kwon Do Poomsae: 2008 State Games </p>

<p>Other: Internship with City (Didn't last long), a good amount of volunteering library etc.</p>

<p>i don't really know but i've heard that it depends on which school you attend now, so if you (assuming you live in wake) are applying from broughton or enloe as opposed to east wake or sanderson, your chances would change. i think. thats what i've heard. but thats alot of creds!</p>

<p>It depends on what CD you are in. Wake county is CD4. I'm in CD3 so I'm not competing against anyone in Wake county, Wilson is the biggest city in my CD.
NCSSM told me typically 120-150 students apply from CD3... 26-32 students are typically accepted from each CD.</p>
