So I sent two applications in this week and realized that I lied on the education section. Our school provides exact rank. I put my rank over 500 students. However, I just found out that our school only ranks the 470 kids. So what do i do.
Send an email to correct? No biggie.
Breathe. This sounds like a small error not an intentional lie. Likely they have the correct information from your guidance counselor/transcript. But if you are uncomfortable having given that incorrect information, then email the colleges with the corrected ranking. Just keep any email short and to the point.
Is that what you think a lie is? You didn’t do it on purpose. As was said above… a short email to update the number would be fine. But don’t say you “lied”. You made a mistake.
