So, right after my guidance counselor sent her recommendation in, she informed me that she'd made a mistake when listing my ranking. Where she was supposed to list how many shared my rank (which would be 0), she interpreted it as class size and wrote 160 (I'm international and her English isn't that great). Naturally, I'd like to know what options I have to make sure each college understands that she made a mistake and that I am actually alone in my ranking. Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Ask her to email the colleges you applied to explaining and correcting her error and perhaps she can resubmit a corrected form. Be there to proofread the email she sends out.

@happy1 Thanks for your response. How would she be able to resubmit a corrected form?

I think you need to contact each schools to arrange it. She may be able to send in a letter with the correction or perhaps email/fax an updated corrected form. I have no direct experience with this but am just offering my suggestion as to what I’d do if I were in your position…

Colleges also aren’t stupid. They’re going to see an answer like 160 in a class size of 160 and know something isn’t right. Odds are, they’ll ask for clarification or just ignore it.
