John is very confused as well and is going to ignore jokes…very, very BAD jokes.

Who gives a damn? Tell people you were accepted to Oxford, Cambridge, and the University of Neptune if it makes you feel better. I will guarantee that someone you know has also lied to you about an admission. It’s all a game, at this point. More importantly, make sure you are right with your situation…I don’t know which state school you are accepted to with a free ride but if its a UVA or Michigan or UC school there’s nothing to feel bad about.

I got waitlisted at the University of Neptune :(

Banned for lying to the public.

Every HSL thread on CC eventually deviates from the original post, but I would say that in a couple of weeks nobody will be talking about college choices anymore. I feel incredibly bad for you, and I understand when lies just slip out sometimes. It’s understandable, but at this point I would say to just not talk about colleges at all and tell everyone that you’re attending state school because of money.

okay so i am a senior in high school waiting for admission to colleges. i applied to san francisco state, fresno state, sacremento state, UC San diego, UC berkely, UC riverside and michigan state university. My GPA is a 3.0 and i got a 1470 on the SAT. you can say that i am a prety average student compared to other people. I dont think that i am going to get into any of those schools because i dont think my grades are good enough. so what i plan to do is lie to my parents that i got into UC san diego and then go to san diego city community college and transfer to UC san diego because if i follow the IGETC i would be eligiable for TAG ( transfer Assured Gurantee). should i go on with this plan and go to san diego city college? I cant let my parents down. you see, I will be the first in my family to go to a four year college. my older siblings are all in CC and my parents and family look down at them because of them. they are expecting alot out of me. what should i do?

Aren’t they going to want to come visit you at UCSD? I mean they’re bound to find out…

So when they write the check to UCSD, don’t you think they will figure you out?

Come on, 0 Posts, I call ■■■■■.

Dumbest idea I have ever heard. Sorry.

^Lol funny how you say 0 post yet you have 2 billion posts.

The reason my post count looks incredibly high is a software glitch on the part of College Confidential, which I have no control of. However, feel free to ask those who administer this site if you are curious. My actual post count is much higher than zero, and much less than 2 billion.

I call ■■■■■, because first, it’s a ridiculous idea to lie about where you are going college to your parents. Second, it will be discovered. If not immediately, than eventually.

It’s just silly.

2^32 - 1

for the record

What about that girl who lied about Stanford. How’d she get caught again?

I find it humorous that John117 seemed adamant about going to Duke over Caltech on the first page, then his location says “Caltech '14.”

Which reminds me, four weeks to decisions. Gahh I don’t want to be rejected from Yale just yet.

you are HUMAN, but i think you should tell the truth … this is just one if those mistakes yu gotta learn from it and keep it movin … and i know this is easier said then done goodluck ; )
