I live in nyc...is traveling difficult?

my parents wont shut up about how its a seven hour drive… really? is it a make or break decision?? can i get home to nyc easilly?

a lot of people carpool back and forth to that area. I know one of my roommates both this year and last (two different kids) easily got home and back each break.

well, its only a 1 hour plane ride. and theres always the bus that you could take with friends. i also live in nyc and im not letting the distance get in my way becuase it feels like the right school for me.

ok one more question....my parents are like, well going up to bowdoin in general will cost more money because of travel and like hotels and stuff like that...like it will be more difficult to go there....any truth to that?

hotels are very cheap in Maine. Most things are cheap in Maine.

And in terms of getting here, they can drive or fly to portland. Not too bad.

Dittto on the hotels being inexpensive. If you don't go to Bowdoin where would you go?

Don't you already have to know where you are going by now?

Ksolow - at this point some people on CC are high school juniors planning their summer college visits

i sent my deposit in for vassar...but im waiting to hear from bowdoin still.....i was waitlisted. so im just doing some forward thinking lol.
