The fact that you call the war "necessary" removes all credibility from your statement.
Then all credibility is removed from most if not all of the Democratic party's candidates, whom im guessing you support, who voted FOR the war when it was proposed.

uh the democrat party= tax loving socialist hypocrites. But besides that, what is skewed with bush's morals? Sure he is not a great president, nor the smartest being on the planet, but can you honestly say that Kerry would have been good? Seriously the war was/is neccesary. Lower taxes are good!!! do you guys not understand that? I loved the part when he said to those that if you want to support the government so much then send a check to them seriously :). Don't force people to pay for stuff they don't want to. It seems like the liberals are such hypocrites, cos on one hand they say freedom blah blah, and then on one hand they give us no economic freedom and force us to pay money for utilities for the poor. I will concede Bush is not amazing, but he is no tyrant (show me one place where he resembles Hitler, an argument i often hear from the misguided part of our country). He is an honset, man with principles shoved in a bad place in a bad time. He is no genius, and may not have handled the situation the best possible way, but he is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy underrated and much to hated.
I kinda want a democrat to get into presidency just so the people can see how much they will screw over the country (Biden was alright, too bad he dropped). Also Bill Clinton was an exception, he was decent.
Ha can't ball with this lol. :)

Ummm, i don't think this president is noble at all, he is one of the worst presidents America has seen in a long time. He is defiant, and does not want to cooperate. This is not because I don't like republicans, i do, but not Bush, don't go there, he is totally messed up. He said the word terror at least 14 times(I counted). He cannot continue to run on scaring the pants off the country into believing in him. Republicans are good, good ideology, but Bush, bad prez. Sorry to disagree. However, the first part of the speech wasn't bad at all, I actually agreed with it. But as he got into the terror stuff, I got kind of mad.

Mad? Why? Sometimes I feel like people forget what happened on 9/11/01. There IS terror around the world, and terror that challenges the success and progression of democracy and rational thought. I'm not just talking about Islamic fascists; im talking guerillas in Colombia, communists in North Korea, and a nutjob in Iran. The president believes this and it has been the keystone policy of is presidency; its not his fault that our country was attacked a year into his tenure. Take the suicide bombings in Iraq and Afghanistan as evidence that terrorists will persist.

Bush is the worst president? lol you guys make me laugh, Let me point to jimmy carter (he may have not been the worst, but definelty not a good president).

I think the whole presidential campaign thing has led me to realize that I'm a libertarian. Bush and Hillary Clinton are virtually the same: both have been corrupted by Washington's drama, and neither can really make a decision that's good for the people. It's the same way for most other national politicians.

I dont expect you truly believe that. CC'ers are supposed to be relatively intelligent after all.

The fact that you admire Bush and his administration says a lot more about your intellgence than mine. lol

While the Carter Presidency was hardly a successful one - much of the problems plaguing Carter's term arose from outside factors (which he had little or no control over).

Granted, he also was a micromanager - which didn't help.

yea, you're not close-minded or anything.
Would you call someone close-minded for saying that it would be pretty stupid to support ANY moronic, power-wielding megalomaniac with no ideas of right, wrong, or what's best for his people?

Why would you for someone saying that about supporting a specific moronic, power-wielding megalomaniac with no ideas of right, wrong, or what's best for his people?

Uhh, I'm a life-long REPUBLICAN (how's that for being "close-minded"?).

If anyone is close-minded, it's you for blindly following an administration that has a deserved reputation for being insular and close-minded (and not seeking outside, expert advice).

Not to mention "close-minded" is the wrong word here...

And if it's right, then the comment "I dont expect you truly believe that. CC'ers are supposed to be relatively intelligent after all" is pretty close-minded.

And do you love the ~650 suspected terrorists being held in Guantanamo bay for years who have been kept in 8X10 cells, shackled to the wall with sacks over their faces? Do you love their lawyers whom they will never see?

You love the flag, for it is the symbol of patriotism. But do you also love the Patriot Act? Do you love the atrocities committed in the name of America, under the protection of the Patriot Act, authorized by those who pledge their allegiance and wear emblems of that same flag?

You love America. I am an American, and I love America, too. But do you, Sir, loving America, so love the countries under its military influence? Do you love the ~85,000 Iraqi civilians killed since our occupation? The 4,000 dead American soldiers forced to undergo multiple tours of duty not to protect their country which they have sworn to serve, but to serve the wallets of the Ruling Class? And the 150,000 American troops stationed in Iraq who have not yet died?

And what of the countries we chose not to interfere in? What of the Congo, in which over 5,000,000 people have during the past decade? Do you love them as well? Or do you love the petroleum which does not exist in sufficient abundance in Congo so as to solicit American aid? The petroleum, 70 barrels of which mysteriously goes missing from Iraq every day? The same petroleum whose price continues to skyrocket?

In the words of Mr. Bush, "mission accomplished."
