I am freaking out I am going to get a 0 as my quarter gpa, and my overall gpa is not too high. I am scared I will get kicked out,Do they allow you to be on STD (subject to dismissal) for a quarter under these circumstances or will you just be kicked out? help!!!
How, exactly, are you getting a 0 as a GPA?
I know that i am failing a class and that is the only class i am getting credit for
OK, so you’re taking one class, and you have a zero average in that one? A zero???
Here’s the question I can’t get around: what are you doing? Why are you in college? Is there some sort of medical issue that has so severely hampered your ability to pass? You got into the college, so the assumption has to be that you’re capable of doing well. So what is it that’s standing between you and a full time course load with passing grades?
Do you want to be in college? Or was it simply the next step after high school? Is there some ambition you have, some future plans, that are best satisfied by getting that degree?
Go see your dean immediately. At most schools they have the power to change grades to an Incomplete even if it’s after the add/drop date. It worked for me many years ago when I was working 30hrs a week and working on an EE degree. I was able to retake the class the following semester after after quitting my part-time job. Good luck!
In going back, I want to apologize if the tone in post #3 reads as though I’m harassing the OP-- that certainly isn’t my intent. My questions are absolutely meant to be taken at face value.
If there’s some medical or other problem, it needs to be attended to.
But, not knowing anything about you, is it possible that you sincerely just don’t want to be in college, but can’t think of a viable alternative?
