About academic probation?

Hi y'all I'm in a complicated situation here, during my 1st year I was on AP two quarters in a row and was dismissed, but I've appealed and was accepted.

Now 2nd year I've managed to do well until this last quarter where I ended up with a spring gpa of 1.9, but an overall GPA of over 2.0 does that mean I'll be dismissed or does it have to be consecutively two quarters of AP, meaning will my previous AP consecutives reset since I managed to stay out of AP up until now?

Painfully worried...

Powerforce, you should contact the undergraduate admissions office or your advisor, I do not think that any one on CC will be able to give you accurate information in regards to your situation. I tried to look for the regulations in regards to your situation, but I could not find any detailed information that would address your concern. The only information I found was that “If readmitted, students must remove their deficiencies through above-average work undertaken in the university. It is usually required that all deficiencies be removed during the first year after readmission.”

I’ll wait and see I guess…
=/

Thanks for looking it up, I removed my deficiency at the end of the year last year.

I just got dismissed and I’m about to appeal (Computer Eng. - BCoE), what was your major? Any advice about the appeal, chances, etc?

I think I have a few valid reasons but honestly it always boils down to begging for another chance, I’m okay with that because college is all I have right now and I get one shot and then it’s a minimum wage job back in the ghetto…

If you’re a freshman your appeal will get accepted don’t worry.

Hey I was on Academic Probation for two quarters and now I have been dismissed! I was wondering what you put on your appeal? And if you provided any documentation for them…thanks so much!

@loveya176: For them to accept your appeal, you need a really good reason for why you were dismissed. Usually it’s something about extreme emotional/financial stress that took a toll on your grades.
