So, I was filling out the waiver for the SHIP thing and mistakenly said no to a question that i should have said yes for, and since I already submitted it they said i'm not covered and won't let me fill it out again. Supposedly, I'm supposed to get a paper waiver form from some building at Cornell, but the bill for it is supposed to come out on August 9, and I don't get to cornell till august 17. So should I just not pay the bill when it comes or should i pay it and ask for a refund?

This sucks, I never mess things like this up :( :( :(.

Just call the SHIP office and they will walk you through it even if you have already messed it up. I screwed this up as a freshman too and I had to get it fixed.

starmel: so did you pay the bill first and get a refund?

I get a waiver every year, but I usually don't hear back from them, not confirming if I filled them out correctly or not, just an email saying it's been submitted. I don't remember the details of filling them out though.

Yea, I've already decided that im not going to pay it. Ill probably talk to them when I get there since the waiver isn't really due till the 31st.

Wait, which question did you screw up? This is like the one thing I'm letting my dad do since I've no clue what's going on with insurance, and I hope he doesn't screw it up!

Sorry, I want to ask you what the process is like, since my parents don't seem to know what they're doing with this... is it a long process (how many pages, how many questions, are they all or mostly yes/no questions) and what exactly do you need to know? Because I know nothing about insurance stuff.
