I Narrowed it Down to Three

I'm in a good but tough position. With one month to go I have my colleges narrowed down to three schools:
Butler University
University of Minnesota
Illinois Wesleyan University

I want to major in biology and become a podiatrist. I've gone to a small private high school so I'm used to the environment, but I was accepted to one of University of Minnesota's toughest college (admissions wise). I have family in Minnesota; however, I'm also a football player who could play at IWU, but not Butler and Minnesota. I guess what I'm trying to say is, are these schools well-known enough and somewhat equal in academics? If you were in my position what school would you lean toward? I'm from Illinois (obviously) and the tuition is equal at all three schools. Also, I've visited each campus multiple times and enjoyed them equally. Any sort of guidance would be appreciated.

Congratulations on your acceptances! Some things to think about: which school has the strongest program for your intended major/career path? Is playing football important to you in college? How far away from home to you want to be?

It sounds as if you would be happy at all three of these schools. The decision may be difficult now, but you are lucky to have three great options to attend in the fall! Good Luck! :)

Will the commitment to football interfere with your studies?

Have you visited all three campuses? Have you liked them all?

Any other suggestions?

University of Minnesota.

^^ It’s traditional that if people who are trying to help you ask questions you answer them in order to get a response.

^^ Unfortunately, the poster who asked that series of questions seems do that in every thread…ask a series of questions without adding any insight and then not respond after you have answered them.

^^^
If you’re referring to me, you are wrong. I usually do respond after people answer my questions. Do I miss some answers? Yes. But when I do, hopefully the answer that gets posted provides insight to people like Erin’s Dad or others who can use that answer to help, also.

And, yes, there are questions that I pose often. I try to pose questions that help the OP find his own answer or reveal the best choice for the person.

That said… I don’t often ask about football commitments. In this case, the person wants to major in Bio…a major which I would consider challenging. Therefore, I asked if playing football might be too demanding. What’s wrong with that?

And, what the heck is wrong with asking if he’s visited all 3 campuses???

So…I see that I didn’t respond to the answers on your threads. Well, I’m sorry I missed your post. I’ve gone back and answered it. :)
