I Need a 3.5 GPA freshman year. Help me get into FSB

I applied Early Action to the Farmer School of Business and was admitted for the University Studies major, I really want to attend Miami and transfer to FSB after freshman year. In order to transfer into FSB from the University Studies major, you must complete at least 30 graded credit hours, including MTH 151 and ECO 201 earning at least a 3.5 GPA. I currently take AP economics and plan on scoring at least a 3 on the exam thus transferring the credit to Miami in which the credits ECO 201 would be transferred.

I intend to work very hard freshman year to get that 3.5 and transfer into FSB after freshman year, yet it would be a huge edge going into freshman year taking courses that would help me boost my GPA. Coming from a current Miami student or someone who has gone through the University Studies major, are there any courses in particular that are easy GPA boosters which you would recommend? And is maintaining a 3.5 GPA freshman year at Miami as hard as it sounds?

Again, It would be very helpful to get some responses of courses I can take that can help ensure that I get that 3.5 GPA and transfer to FSB smoothly. Thanks and go RedHawks!

Where you accepted to another University as a direct Business Major. If you truly want to study Business, it is a very risky proposition to attend a school where there are no guarantees of acceptance into a major. I can’t say how difficult it is to obtain a 3.5 gpa but the first year of school can be challenging to many.

Always go where you have direct admission to your preferred major, if possible. Miami is a high-quality school, but the quality of the Farmer program will do you no good if you don’t get in. Better to go to your second or third choice and not put yourself behind the 8-ball.
