I need advice for SAT II math

Hello,
please read, anyone who thinks they could help me.

first let me detail my problem:
On SAT math I scored much lower than I had consistently under scored timed practice conditions. Under timed practice conditions, I consistently got 780-800, and because of anxiety or something (I dont know why, my mind was all over the place, which worked for CR but not in math) I got a 700 on my SAT math I. Basically, I understood how to do every problem, but made calculation mistakes and I would miss tricks in medium level problems that I would normally find. My composite score, though, was high enough that I did not feel I needed to take the SAT again. I took the SAT once.

I figured I would score high on the SAT II Math level 2 to make up for it. I thought I did not need to study much, since I had done really well last year in Precalculus H and since I understood everything in depth. I took a practice test and got a 770, on the college board real SATII test an 800. When I took the actual SATII, I began well- relaxed, sure on every problem. However, I went too slowly in the middle section of it, and then as the proctor called 20 minutes and I was only on question 36, I had some anxiety and began to rush- this is when I messed up badly. I ended up getting a 720, which is only 64th percentile

I applied ED to a school, and will hear back mid december. My plan is that if I am deferred/rejected, I will study for a retake around that time and take it in January.
I need someone to help make me a study plan to get an 800- I am capable of this score and I am willing to study hard to get it, but I need to study efficiently. So I need someone with experience with this test to help me. Any ideas? You can PM me if you would like. Thank you for any help.

Since you'll have about a month to prep I recommend using Barron's...although others might disagree...

Barron's is overkill but if you can bring yourself up to the level where you are finishing or almost finishing barron's tests in 60 mins the real thing will be a breeze. Just remember that the first 35 problems are pretty easy so go through those as quickly as possible without being careless....then just try to knock out as many of the last 15 that you can...

good luck

Okay.... can you tell me which barrons topics I do not need to know? I don't want to study things that wont be on it because I have a heavy courseload and time is precious.
Another thing: once ommitting the sections I do not need to know, how should I go about studying it? Do I study like I study for most tests... read the chapter and do the practice stuff and move on? Any specific advice, tmf? Thanks.

Anyone else have any advice? I would be very grateful.

bump..........

I guess you should just take the diagnostic test w/o timing and to see which sections you need work on, which will probably only be a few specific sections. How you study really depends on you personally and what works for you. For me, math is my forte so all I did to prep was review proabability rules and take a couple practice tests.
