happymomof1: Thank you very much for your help!! the posts did help a lot!
and thank you every body…it is so nice to have you guys!!!

Berea College:

All admitted international students receive financial aid and scholarships that cover 100% of tuition, room, board, and fees for the first year of enrollment. Berea College is the only school in the United States that provides 100% funding to 100% of enrolled international students.

NICE
But they don’t offer engineering majors ;(

Really? Last time I checked on Berea only full-tuition scholarships were automatic, not room and board. Another thing to keep in mind: Berea students are required to work 10-15 hours a week for less than $4 an hour (that’s below minimum wage!) or they will lose part of their scholarship.

Oh and their international admission rate is 4%.

yeah… their wages are very less… work is not optional…

well…the school is kind of “clever”, who founded it? haha, just curious…
again…thank you everybody, and thank you a lot, aaaaaaaaaaaa loooooooooooot, b@r!um!!!

I have a friend at Berea who is studying on a full ride. In fact, it even reduced the enrollment deposit for him. Yes, he works but he has been telling me that he earns a lot of money for himself also. His stats are mediocre by your standards (1600 something SAT) and 3.7 G.P.A. So, I guess, it is an option. Based on what I heard, the trick is to convince them that you will enroll at their college if you get accepted. They have an enrollment rate of around 80%. That’s why it is so difficult to get into. They simply reject applicants who they think will get offers from better institutions.
