Hello! I'm an international rising senior born in Korea and currently living in SoCal, and like everybody else on this site... I would like to be "chanced."

SAT: 2270... 800 M (no duh there), 790 W, 680 CR
Definitely retaking this one for Critical Reading.
ACT: 34
GPA: 3.78 UW, 4.22 W. 6% in a semi-competitive public school with the most rigorous couses available & an upward trend
Just a little background for myself (my essays, probably lol).. I moved to California when I was 13 years old, and didn't speak a word of English then. Not an excuse, but yeah, I guess this (hopefully) explains my grades... haha

Extracurriculars:
Choir (4 years including next year)- I started out with a girl's choir at school because there was nothing else to take, but it's grown to be one of my biggest passions. This past year, I was a section leader and the librarian of the group as well as Choir Club President--which means I delegated all the fine arts events at the school like Battle of the Bands and Talent Show. Next year, I will be the President of the group as well as a section leader. I also was recommended to an honor choir at CSULA and will be doing it for three years by next year.

Yearbook (3 years)- Won awards from Columbia Scholastic Press Association (Silver Crown) and National Scholastic Press Association (Pacemaker). I was the People Editor this year and will be co-EIC's with two other girls next year.

Theatre/Musical Theatre- Eh, this one is mostly scattered because of my parents and my schedule, but I started in freshmen year and have been in 6 plays & musicals with some lead/supporting roles. I'm also a scholarship recipient for Voice from Professional School for the Arts. I also took private voice and acting lessons throughout high school.

Speech & Debate (1.5 years)- Just joined last semester, but I qualified for State in Thematic Interp.

California Scholastic Federation (4 years)-just a general member.. lol

Church/Volunteering (3 years)- I teach K through 2nd graders how to read and speak Korean as well as English at my church. Is this "enough" volunteering?

So, the schools I'm interested are..
Dartmouth
Williams
Middlebury
Pomona
Claremont McKenna
Georgetown
Columbia
Wellesley
Smith
Northwestern
USC for merit scholarship
UC Berk. & LA

Another question. I need lots of finaid (parents income about $40000), and since I'm an international, it's even more competitive... anybody know schools that give out generous finaids to internationals except for Dartmouth, Williams, and Middlebury? Thank you so much! And no lie, I will chance back.
