I need help with Honors personal statement

<p>Hello,</p>

<p>I'm starting work on my honors application, and I looked over the guide that they gave. It says I have to answer 3 questions:
Who am I?
How did I get that way?
Where am I going?</p>

<p>Then it goes and says to write about 3 passions, etc.etc. Then it also says avoid using "I." I don't get this. Doesn't that contradict the first question?
Or am I even supposed to use the guide? Can I just write an essay based on those 3 questions alone and nothing else?</p>

<p>Ok I just turned everything for honors in. I used many "I"s but it seemed natural so I am ok with it. I looked at the honors website, and what I got from reading the page is that it is a building called Hillcrest. There's only one honors building for 108 residents? does that mean only 10-20 incoming freshmen are picked for honors?</p>
