<p>So my second semester at my local CC has finally come to an unfortunate end due to the outcome of my grades. Last semester, my grades looked something like this:</p>
<p>Fall semester:
Japanese 1411 - A
Spanish 1411 - B
English 1301 - W (Withdrawn)
Communications 1301 - C</p>
<p>Now this semester..</p>
<p>Spring semester:
Japanese 1412 - A
Spanish 1412 - C
English 1301 - ?(I'll explain later..)
Sociology - C</p>
<p>In total this is 3 Cs. My major is Spanish (and my dream university, ironically, is the SLU campus in Madrid). The only reason why I didn't do so well this semester in Spanish was because of the fact that ALL of the homework is online and the teacher I had would throw in a bunch of stuff for us to do in less than a week that she hardly went over for us to understand what was needed to be done in those online activities(the Spanish teacher I had last semester would only assign activities we went over).</p>
<p>Now, these were my first two semesters of college and so far I am utterly disappointed with what came out and I have absolutely no hope of any other University(including SLU) accepting me. I can't stay at this CC and retake these classes because there's hardly any one taking the foreign language classes pass 1411(except Japanese, EVERYBODY LOVES Japanese), so if they don't have enough students the classes get canceled(no exceptions). So my question is, is there any hope of applying still? Should I even apply with these kinds of grades? And especially SLU. My chances there are slim, even if I write a decent essay to them. Are Cs and a W the worse as they come or am I overreacting?</p>
<p>(Also, I only plan to apply to SLU and Texas Tech.)</p>
<p>(Bonus story: The reason there is a question mark for my English class is because my teacher decided to quit her job at the last minute(literally, she promised us a final exam and then told us in an email that she wouldn't be able to and would give us a final grade THAT HAS YET TO COME). Now, other students and I are waiting for the Chair of the English department to decide what is to become of our class. Fantastic, right?!)</p>
