School that -
I will get in
Well recognized engineering program
Big school
Northeast

I think you’re going to have a hard time getting into Penn State or UDel.

You should apply to UConn, Quinnipiac, University of New Hampshire

you should apply to syracuse! they have the major you want good athletics and it seems like you would get in fairly easily

University of Maryland?

I will think about it, I have to pay for applications myself because I am applying to a lot of reach schools and my parents think I should apply to these lower-end schools.

i would definitely recommend applying to syracuse. how about drexel? their engineering program has a great reputation in the philadelphia area and i’m sure it’s well-recognized around the country as well. you would definitely get in.

UConn, Syracuse, and New Hampshire are all possibilities.

RPI has a mech engineering program iirc, could be wrong.

I don’t think I will get I will get into RPI.

Updated list -
Stony Brook
Penn State
U of Delaware
U of Mass
U of NH
Syracuse
UConn

So New England and Mid-Atlantic schools…maybe try Villanova

I wish I could go to Villanova, but I need schools that I have a good chance of getting into.

university of delaware requires 3.6 GPA (about 90 - 91%). Your CR and Writing scores are a bit low. I’d say its a high reach.

University of Massachusetts - Amherst also requires GPA around 3.6. But Your SAT scores are a match for the school.

Just write a great essay, get good recomendations and show interest in the schools in your application.

I second Drexel. Good school, meets your criteria, and you can get in. Also, as others have mentioned, try state schools in New England, they should work. Good luck.

try northeastern

I wouldn’t be able to live a big city like that.

Take a look at Clarkson. It is waaaaay upstate NY, with more cows than people in the county. But the town of Potsdam has 2 colleges and is a neat place to go to school if you don’t mind the cold.

WPI (Worchester) and RIT (Rochester) are both respectable engineering schools that you have a good shot at. WPI’s in MA while RIT is upstate New York. You should also look at Northeastern, Hofstra, and Fairfield–they all have your major.

As for state schools, University of Vermont, URI, CCSU (Central CT…good safety school), and York College of PA are all within your reach. Good luck!

I say Syracuse is a good option. Another is Drexel. U of NH is easy to get into of what i’ve heard. idk.

Chance me:
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/839995-chance-desperate-mexican-i-havent-sleep-all-please.html

University of Maine, Orono, is well-respected for engineering. Nice college town. Winter may be less severe than in parts NY state, partly because there is more sun in Maine.
