School that -
I will get in
Well recognized engineering program
Big school
Northeast

I will think about it, I have to pay for applications myself because I am applying to a lot of reach schools and my parents think I should apply to these lower-end schools.

i would definitely recommend applying to syracuse. how about drexel? their engineering program has a great reputation in the philadelphia area and i’m sure it’s well-recognized around the country as well. you would definitely get in.

I second Drexel. Good school, meets your criteria, and you can get in. Also, as others have mentioned, try state schools in New England, they should work. Good luck.

Take a look at Clarkson. It is waaaaay upstate NY, with more cows than people in the county. But the town of Potsdam has 2 colleges and is a neat place to go to school if you don’t mind the cold.

WPI (Worchester) and RIT (Rochester) are both respectable engineering schools that you have a good shot at. WPI’s in MA while RIT is upstate New York. You should also look at Northeastern, Hofstra, and Fairfield–they all have your major.

As for state schools, University of Vermont, URI, CCSU (Central CT…good safety school), and York College of PA are all within your reach. Good luck!

University of Maine, Orono, is well-respected for engineering. Nice college town. Winter may be less severe than in parts NY state, partly because there is more sun in Maine.
