( I need motivation)What is the highest increase you have ever seen in SAT scores?

I was asking you whether the BB is one of those “books” that won’t get you to a 2300.

… i meant the books alone won’t get you a 2300. and by that i mean, you actually have to open them

I went from a 163 psat to a 1930 sat after a couple weeks in a sat course. Even with this I have a lot of room to improve. I am trying to get an 800 in math but its hard since you get one wrong it will drop to like a 760. For writing, I am in the 600’s but I haven’t really studied grammar rules in detail (idiom phrases, parallelism) so I think I can improve to 700’s and for Critical Reading I’m in the high 500’s but again didn’t really study in detail (don’t know that many vocab words, don’t read). I am confident I can improve, in fact anyone can improve substantially, he just has to study heavily and improve weak points (I just wrote this after learning parallelism hah)

I got around a 169 on my first PSAT, and now I’m averaging around a 2200 on my practice tests, if that provides any motivation. :)

this thread.

I heard a kid got 1200 at his first test and managed a 2000 at his last one… I don’t believe it though

I agree with BigB14----------You are a loser, futuresuccess…if you keep putting threads like these, you certainly have the motivation but for the wrong reason.

junior year PSAT (41 w, 42 cr, 43 m) June 2009 SAT (490 w, 410 cr, 510 m).

I just did a few hours of practice on the math and writing sections with the Official college board SAT booklet. I read the tips and taught myself some formulas/methods then I did some practice questions. Just by doing that I improved by 80 points in both my math and writing scores.

Don’t worry, with hard work and proper prep., you should be able to score highhhhh.

Just look at how much I improved with a little bit of work!
