i recently received a 2100 (680v 740m 680w) on my SAT's, by the end of this summer I hope to get a 2250-2300+ by the end of this summer!

anyone else trying to improve this drastically as well? if so what do you guys plan to do? also, is it possible to improve that much when your score is already starting out fairly high??

Goal for November SAT (taking SATII's in October): Math is high enough, 700CR, 700W. Writing I can easily get 700... I got 4 MC wrong in May but my 8 essay brought me down... if I had gotten a 10 essay I would've had a 700 I think. CR I'm just going to do a TON of practice tests

Yeah I know a lot of people who have done it. However we're in the range where it takes much more effort to get a score boost. Getting over that 2250 barrier is much harder than for someone who got 1800 trying to break 2000. Anyways I know I can bring up my CR score up(I did uncharacteristically bad on the passages part) to around 700. I really don't know how to work on the writing section because I thought I knew it well and I didn't miss that many. I guess practice.. or read that book called elements of style. I guess if you learn grammar the right way and know what things are called, they will be easier to identify during real test.

Good luck to all in our situation.
I got all the SAT books stacked up including the ones I used when taking it for John Hopkins Talent Search(Middle School).

sigh I wonder how possible it is to increase from 2220 (730 M, 730 w, 760 v) to 2300+. I wouldn't retake except that I really think I could definitely do better on math and possibly writing, but I'm focusing more on math.

Yeah, it's entirely possible. I know someone (a Senior this year) who went into last summer with a 1400 on the old SAT, then re-took it after the summer was over and got a 1590.

Right now I have a 2170 and I'm going for a 2300+. Writing isn't really a problem, CR I can fine-tune, and Math I just need to practice the hell out of so that I don't make the dumb mistakes that I seem to be making.

I'm also trying to massively raise my score. I got a 2100 in May (800M, 640CR, 660W). That writing was a 68 subscore and 8 essay. I am lookin to bounce both the reading and writing 100 points each, but that will be a rather tough task to accomplish for me, a true math/science mind (800 Math IIC, 790 Physics, 740 Bio as a frosh).

Score boosting is possible... I'm not in the 1800 boosted to 2000 range nor am I in the 2100 to 2300 range... In March after a lot of prep I received a 1990. Then in May, with get this, absolutely NO ADDITIONAL PREP, with little sleep after the AP tests everything clicked and I got a 2180!

well I wanna improve my scores too...till november(I'm also takins the sat2's in octomber)...I currently have a 1980...740 on math(I dunno where I've mistaken so much considering I can easily get a 800)...I also got a 610 on writing(8 on the eassay but it wasn't about it...it's all about my mistakes in completing the answer sheet correctly...that must have costed me at least 6 or 7 questions :( ) and a 630 on CR...well I knew I wasn't quite prepaired for it...but hopefully I'll improve my vocab tiil fall (I'm quite handling the passage-based questions)...well....summer's all mine...btw...any recommendations about some books about style in writing...I'd like improving my essay score too if it's possible:)

i'm satisfied with my writing score, but since there's all that word that colleges won't be looking at writing etc, i have to bring up my two other scores a lot! 1380 for top colleges might get me in the door (after that, I know it's about other stuff), but I know I can do better on math. i'm gonna try to raise math 50 and critical reading 50. it's going to be tricky though, because I'm almost positive that most of the questions I got wrong on CR were sentence completions.. I took ap eng lang and i'm pretty good at understanding passages.
