I need to get a higher ACT score

Okay so this upcoming February test is my last chance to take the ACT. The college I am going to will take ACT scores up until February. I am one of those kids who is in all honors classes and gets pretty good grades, but my act is a 23, I want to atleast make a 27 or a 28, of course I would love to make a 30+, but lets be real for now. I bought “the red book,” and what I need to know is “how” to study it. I need a schedule. See I have read many ACT books and its all the same stuff in the beginning. When should I take the practice tests? I have 3 full weekends left to practice and of course the weekdays in between, then that fourth weekend is act. I also get off everyday at 12 because i have no study halls if that helps because I know i could knock out and hour or two like that. I don’t want to take the tests all at once and still have like two weeks left. Please help me, its really important to me that i get this score.

P.S. My highest scores are math and science and my lowest is reading, also my highest score before 23 was 18 so when i got the 23 it goes to show that my score did jump 5 whole pts. so please don’t tell me its impossible or anything.

Thanks in advance!

If I were you I would split the remaining time you have to study into four sections. For each section of days, focus on one of the four sections, take as many practice tests as is feasible in the red book for that section, and review your mistakes carefully. Leave one full ACT practice test for a few days before, take it like the real ACT, and see how much your composite has improved

I would get a prep book if you haven’t, and divide your time by each section. Put more time into those you struggle with more. Make goals for yourself, it will motivate you for a better score. Best of luck to you!

5 points in 1 month probably won’t happen. Set realistic goals. Take practice tests every weekend and do problems during the week

Thank you!
