What are my chances of getting into Michigan State University
I am senior, who is going to apply to universities this summer. But I am honestly only interested in going to Michigan. I moved here from India when I was in 9th grade.
My GPA is around 3.5.
SAT score is 1600.
ACT score is 24/ writing score is 8/12
I play guitar, exceptionally good at art, really good at badminton, have volunteer hours at Texas Instruments, baby sat a lot of kids.
I live in texas and I know it's gonna be really expensive to live in Michigan and all. My mom is a teacher at a montessori school and my dad ditched my mom when I was in India like 3 years old. My mom has a really low wage to take care of herself and me. So, is there a possibility of me getting a grant or scholarship to pay all my tuitions?

MSU is tougher now than before. For out of state applicants, honestly, they prefer full pay. Your scores are about right. ECs aren’t considered. You need to speak w/your HS office to figure out Fin Aid – where ever you attend. MSU won’t be giving you a full ride.

Wouldn’t even happen if you were a MI resident.

But given that you have such a big need, why are you set on a very very expensive school? You should look at affordable options.
