What are my chances of getting into University of Michigan, Ann Arbor?
I am senior, who is going to apply to universities this summer. But I am honestly only interested in University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. I moved here from India when I was in 9th grade.
My GPA is around 3.5.
SAT score is 1600.
ACT score is 24/ writing score is 8/12
I play guitar, exceptionally good at art, really good at badminton, have volunteer hours at Texas Instruments, baby sat a lot of kids.
I live in texas and I know it's gonna be really expensive to live in Michigan and all. My mom is a teacher at a montessori school and my dad ditched my mom when I was in India like 3 years old. My mom has a really low wage to take care of herself and me. So, is there a possibility of me getting a grant or scholarship to pay all my tuitions?

As I understand it, you really need to get interested in someplace less selective, and very likely someplace more affordable.

You seem to have a semi-diverse background, but a scholarship/financial-aid seems fairly unlikely with those test scores, let alone admission. As a suggestion, try to raise your act to at least a 27/28; going to need to write some bangin’ essays with those stats to get some type of f.a.

Even if you were an instate applicant, your scores are just too low.
Definitly try raise that ACT score to around UofM’s average (27-31)
Also, try to improve your GPA to at least around a 3.7-3.8 range. Chances are not great, but work hard to try bringing up those scores!
