<p>I need some new friends, not acquaintances which is what always happens. I wish I lived in a dorm room instead of commuting to school, which is what most people in my school do. Its so damn hard, people come for there 1hr class then just go. I kind of wish I had joined a frat back when I was a freshman, even though am not into the whole typical frat party, at least I would have met some people. This whole thing is throwing me into sort of a depression, which is unlike me. I need some help!!!</p>

<p>I’m guessing that your school mostly caters to commuters, which can have an impact on your social life, unfortunately. Have you considered joining a club or off-campus student organization (maybe you can start one up). Or perhaps, if it is not much of a hassle (financially and conveniently) to dorm next year. I would have suggested transferring, but that might seem like an inconvenience.</p>
<p>Generally, you won’t meet real friends at a party.</p>
<p>Join some student clubs/organizations. Get a job. The people you meet at those sorts of things will more likely end up being your friends.</p>
