When signing into my Cornell account I saw a bunch of things under the to do list. It was then when I realized I never even did my IDOC.
Can some please help me as to what I should do. Does this affect the probability of my acceptance? Help!!! Wow, I’m so upset right now.
Do it as soon as you can. The deadline was so, if admitted, you would get your FA package with your admittance so you can make a decision with your family about affordability. Being late with the info to IDOC means that your FA package will be delayed.
It will have no effect on admission, but you need to do it ASAP so you can get financial aid…
Thank you so much @annwank and @jamesjunkers for UR response. I was freaking out earlier, as long as it doesn’t have any major impact on my admissions. I’m just gonna take UR word for it and convince myself it doesn’t have an impact.
Wow I’m so dumb for not submitting it ealier…
How come they never contacted me???
That makes me so nervous…
It is your responsibility, not Cornell’s. Colleges will not hold your hand like high schools.
@TomSrOfBoston the reason I ask is because I know they have reached out to many other people about financial aid.
I never got an e-mail from them asking about documents, when I had not turned them in, which makes me predisposed to receiving a rejection come tuesday. I do hope that this isn’t the case though…
If you apply for FA, then Cornell requires the CSS profile to be filled out. Once that is submitted, the College Board will send info on accessing and submitting your IDOC requirements. (Cornell exclusively uses IDOC). I uploaded all of ours online, but you can also print a cover sheet and send copies via mail. The CSS and IDOC is run by the College Board. Once you submit, they will forward to Cornell.
@Shreyas56 @annwank the weird thing is I received a likely letter… SO WHAT THE HECK CORNELL?! STOP MESSING WITH ME LIKE THIS
Financial aid and admissions are 2 totally separate entities. That’s why they call it “need blind”.
@HelpAnAznGirlOut
Wow that makes me feel so much better
and I think if you upload your forms directly onto Cornell’s website, it would be faster than if you went through IDOC.
Good luck!
