I now have belief that......

There is nowhere in any of the 2012 predictions (by non-modern-Westerners) a mention of death.

Just throwing that out there.

True, but if the world really does end, doesn’t that pretty much guarantee that we all die?

Show me where it says the world’s going to end.

I now have a belief that MattNC is a moron.

And you said I made useless threads . . . . JUS SAYIN

It’s a slippery slope logical fallacy! Things will get bad, but it kinda takes a jump from “oh now gas price increase” to “RAHHH WE ALL DIE.”

^^^^ didn’t the Aztecs say that? Albeit it was based on astrology in all likelihood, but they predicted Cortes… :open_mouth: AMGHALP

^ No. First off, it was the Mayans. Second off, they said that we were going to enter a new era, not that we were going to die or that the world was going to end.

^ Agree. And the Mayans said that the white people misinterpreted their calendar, and that the calendar just ends in 2012, not that the world ends in 2012.

Sadly, i found that out after writing in my AP World History frq essay that “the Mayans were so smart that they predicted the end of the world, which is also known as the Apocalypse.”

^ LOL! Sorry that’s funny.

Anyway, yes. White Christians came over and put their Armageddon on the Mayan calendar. Now, we subconsciously link the two. The date IS significant, but it is not the end of the world.

They should scoop up the oil from the ocean.

You do make useless threads, nobody gives a **** about you taking english over the summer or you playing Tennis. I’m actually talking about something that’s going on now that can be talked about for more than 2 minutes. I honestly don’t give a **** about your opinion. Thanks.

That’s highly improbable…

And also, what thread on HSL isn’t useless?

If you want usefulness go to college admissions or search.
