I plan to rap on election day, running for FBLA Vice President.

Is this too radical of an idea or will this guarantee victory?

victory... 2 years ago, the vice president of our school council did this in front of the whole school

If your rap is good, the students might like it.

depends on your audience? if FBLA at your school consists of really serious "want-to-always-be-as-professional-as-possible" members, it might not be appreciated.

Execution is everything for something like this.

at my school our ICC president did a rap to Lose Yourself by Eminem, literally about 1500 people came out to watch, and he won. he changed the words around to go with the election idea eg: you better get yourself out and go vote to-day and to-morrow yadda yadda

are you running for the state office? or just your local school office?

To me it is a stupid idiotic idea! How about that my good sir?

local school office

You're a guy, I'm guessing..but if you were a girl I would have suggested skipping the musical number and wearing a low-cut shirt..works at my school..

depends....you can totally own it with a good rap cover....but if you pull out that Tone Loc, nigs are just gonna laugh in your face

Rapping worked at my school for class council and SGA offices. Just make sure the majority of FBLA also likes that kind of music.

About 3/4 of the kids who ran for office either did an original song or rap. The best thing to do is to pre-screen it in front of friends to make sure it sounds okay. The last thing you want is for your own work to backfire.
