I screwed up freshman year.. Do I still have a chance?

So Freshman year is almost over and I screwed up. I take all academic classes and I didn't do too well. My final freshman GPA will probably be anywhere from a 2.8-3.1. Say I get the lowest a 2.8 will I still have a chance at my dream school USD. It's really important to me and I wanna know if a college will over look one bad year. Next year I'm taking 2 honor classes. If you can let me know if I have a chance to go there and what to do my next 3 years to make sure I have a good chance. Thanks.

I don’t think UCs count freshman year.

If you work hard the next 2 and a half(sophomore, junior, first semester senior) you should be able to bring your GPA up enough to get into to USD. I would recommend taking classes that you know you can do well in so your GPA goes up. My freshman year was abysmal started with a 3.6 but I brought it up to a 4.1 and got into The College of William and Mary, so yeah anything is possible.
