.
So I messed up my first semester w/ 1 W an a low GPA, all my other semesters are 4.0
Would you please chance me?

GPA: 3.68 ( 3.75 w/ a 4.0 in fall...very doable)

Applying to: Cal and UCLA

Major: Psychology

Special Transfer Programs: TAP (Cal) and Starting Mentorship Program (Cal)

Pre req's and IGETC: Done by end of Fall 08

EC's: Societies, Clubs, Work, Volunteer....you know the drill

My essays are solid...what do you think?

well get that 3.75 and there shouldnt be too much worries.... and 1 W wont do any harm

I assume TAP is for UCLA as there is no TAP for CAL

UCLA- Match with the 3.75 and TAP

Don't worry about the W it doesn't matter as for the low grades if you don't need the units there's always academic renewal but I think you have a good chance anyways.

There is TAP for Cal. Apparently it's very hush-hush. :)

AR is not necessary- schools like to see an improvement.

yeah but it's nothing like LA's.....and more predictions?

and what is academic renewal? I didn't get F's or D's in any classes, can I still apply for it?

any other chances?

I'm sure that academic renewal policies vary from school to school. At my school (PCC) you can only re-take a class if the grade is substandard. Ds or Fs only.

As for chances, 90% chance at UCLA and 75% chance at Cal if you maintain an upward trend in your GPA.

thanks...anyone else?

I think that's enough bumping.
