I’m a community college student that got Conditional Acceptance to Cal Poly. I just received a D in Introduction to Material Science.

I have over 70 units when I applied to Cal Poly. I finished all the Math, Physics and General Education requirements. I have IGETC certification complete.

However, I feel that this is not enough.

Will my admission be rescinded?

You need to contact Cal Poly… this is not a site that can adequately provide advise for you… lots of opinions, yes… but pure hearsay from anyone here.

VentureMan,

I will contact them first thing Monday. I just had to get the burden off my chest and hope that someone who has been in my situation would help. Thankfully, someone was nice enough to offer some kind words.

DinMatSci: Ventureman is correct. Call admissions and speak to one of their staff. What I have learned personally about Cal Poly is that they are very human and caring people. They will work with you if you are honest with them. This will not be the end of the world.

Thank you OsakaDad.

Based on your situation u should be fine. Just drop the class so it doesnt affect your GPA and tell Poly that.
