I should be a shoe-in, but...

...I was waitlisted. My SAT score is 1490 (800 critical reading, 690 math), and my GPA was a 4.0. I thought my extracurriculars were in good shape, too, with part-time jobs, community service, ballet lessons, and six creative writing awards in the mix.

I'm feeling kind of vindictive at the moment. Maybe I'll mail them my acceptance letters from other colleges. Yeah! That'll hurt! Just kidding.

did you show any interest?

Hmmm---yeah, ceroper, Kenyon is really into interest. Would you say your reccs and essays were excellent?

I feel the same way & got the same decision! I had 90 points less than you on math though.

I was also waitlisted. It's just so hard to predict these days. As you can see from the other decisions there were many extremely qualified people who were turned down or waitlisted. You really can't take it personally. You just have to realize that Kenyon is a small school and that there were probably a record number of applications this year. And at least you're waitlisted. That means you still have a chance!

im in same position...if youre really into kenyon then send back the wait list thing and email them...i think mainly they want to make sure youre really interested in the college as opposed to using them as a safety or something
