I swore I would never do this -- but what are my chances for Georgetown, Tufts, Uchicago?

These chance threads are so scary because everyone is so smart....but I have free time for the first time in a month (!) and i'm a nervous wreck over the apps I sent this weekend.

First off, I do have safeties...these are my 3 reach schools.

White female
Urban "tough" public high school on the east coast
4.0 UW
9 APs over 3 years (max offered)
3/300 rank
33 ACT
no hooks (which always makes me think of Peter Pan, btw)
Essays -- if you had asked me Saturday afternoon, what I thought of them, I would have said I hit out of the park....i'm a little more down on them today.
ECs -- I believe they're strong....i've been working paid positions with family farms and markets since 8th grade, started as a farming/organic intern for my state's organic council starting in 11th grade (still do it today), worked this past summer at the U.S. Embassy in (would prefer not to give specifics of country) Africa working on food and farm issues on that continent. And I was named to my state's top academic honor (a summer program...I had to turn it down because of the Africa thing but there were only 150 of us selected out of 260,000 potential applicants).

UChicago, Georgetown (Walsh School), Tufts.

ugh.

You’ve got a great chance with your grades and your extracurriculars clearly show a passion. Is that what you plan on studying in college?

Your ACT is lower than what Chicago and Georgetown usually have, but your GPA definitely outweighs that. I think the only problem is that your extracurriculars aren’t that well rounded, but if you write good essays, you’re fine.

Obviously admissions are a crap shoot so nothing in the top 20 can be called a match, but otherwise you’re a strong candidate.

I like the strong path you have on both local and world food issues…as noted above, that’s a great passion and I wold think that would play well with your interest in international relations.

Maybe the scores are a tad low but overall stats look very strong…you may still not get in because those 3 schools are tough but I think you’re competitive and have a decent chance of at least one.
