I tested out early with the CAHSEE and am now in Community College ... can I transfer to CSU?

Hello,

I tested out of high school early through the CAHSEE exam. I passed with great results and joined the local community college. I am only 17, and am taking MATH 100 and ENGRW 100 for my GE’s. I am also taking Administration of Criminal Justice 300. I want to transfer out by next fall to a CSU, preferably CSU Chico. My GPA is high school was around 2.6-2.7 from Freshman year to Sophmore year, then I moved to another city and didn’t finish my junior year but had about a 2.85 GPA my first semester junior year. Like I said, I tested out early.

My question is, how can I join CSU Chico? They say they only accept “high-level” transfers, meaning 60 units or more? I lived in Chico and went to high school there until Sophmore year. Will this help? If I finish my Algebra classes and my English at this community college, can I transfer over to a CSU or will I have to wait until I complete 60 units?

Thanks!

Your high school GPA will have no bearing but, you will need to complete the 60 units to transfer.

Meet with an CCC transfer advisor but here are the CSU transfer requirements. HS test scores/GPA are not considered if you are a transfer applicant as noted by @NCalRent.
