I think I figured out how you might be able to get your decision early.

First: First login to your “Where Am I In The Process” page. In Google Chrome, right click on the “Financial Aid Notification” button and select “Inspect Element”. Find your “Admission ID” in the line that looks like:

(1234567 would be your admission id in this example)

Now, navigate to https://cas-webapp.andrew.cmu.edu/ntia-deposit/index.html enter your information in, including the ID you found earlier, and hit submit. If it says it’s invalid, I’m pretty sure you weren’t admitted (that’s what mine says!).

Proof that this number is your actual admissions ID can be found by successfully logging into here: https://cas-webapp.andrew.cmu.edu/ntia/ (this works for me, but the other page doesn’t so I was probably denied or waitlisted)

Also possible that decisions aren’t on the enrollment response page yet so everyone’s may say invalid, but hopefully some people can try!

mine says invalid but someone with better stats than me should check lol

Update: some people on the other thread said it worked for them, so if yours says invalid (like mine) then i guess you’re out of luck!

Why am I not able to find my ID at all in inspect element? Did they patch it already? Or do they not assign IDs to those who were rejected?

@davy901 Its’s still there for me. Inspect element on the financial aid button. Look for VAR2

@thwaway482957102 the red line of text at the top of the screen right? Does it make a difference if I didn’t apply for FA?
I used Ctrl + F and looked for VAR2 but it returned no results

Right click on the button below it @davy901

@davy901 Actually if you didn’t apply for FA that probably won’t be there. Try just CMD-F (or CTRL-F) to find VAR2 anywhere in the source.

@thwaway482957102 I don’t have any buttons below it though.
It just says “Admission and Financial Aid Notification” in red and nothing else below it.

It doesn’t work for me. Either way, I think that it’s too early as anyways.

It worked for my daughter with the admission id.

I found VAR2, but the value next to it is my last name and not a 7 digit number. I’m very confused.
