I think I'm in love.

I'm an international student applying for Chicago this year.

I scheduled an interview with an alumni but panicked and cancelled it due to financial concerns. The alumni took it upon herself to call the admissions office, and my regional counselor took the time to phone me and reassure all my worries over financial aid. I really would never expect a school to do this and I think that this kind of kindness, altruism and determination is a credit to the school and I'm really glad that I applied there. :)

I get a second stab at the interview tomorrow, I hope the alumni isn't really sick of me by now lol

Good luck
I don’t understand though, did you cancel the interview or your entire application?
If just the interview, isn’t it free…?
If your financial concern is about attending UChicago, don’t they meet 100% demonstrated financial need?

Edit: nvm, you’re international. I see, t’s not need blind.

^^ UChicago has been very supportive and kind in the past to me too.

You’re not the only one. :P

Don’t worry, it’s not always about getting in.
