Decent essays (I think?)
Excellent recommendations

you’ll definitely be one of the top applicants that apply. It all depends on competition, essays, recommendations, and such, but you’re most likely in.
And the 4.0 is UW? If it is, then that’s great, keep it up!

No, I didn’t apply to rice, but I kind of wish I had.
Yeah, the 4.0 is UW. I think the weighted is 4.8 or something.
After being rejected for Stanford (SCEA), waitlisted at WashU, and rejected from HPME, I just feel my chances for NU dropping. I really want to go to NU too, but I don’t know if I expressed that through my essays. Oh well, only a few more days left.

Is a very poor indicator of writing ability. I got a 9 on the writing with a 35 composite, and I am a very good writer. The subsection is mostly graded for “mechanical” writing, not well-developed or thoughtful work.

well remember. HPME has only about a 4-6% acceptance rate. And people give up harvard and princeton and yale for HPME… so it doesn’t mean much if you didnt get in.

I was lucky enough to get interviewed for HPME. Does anyone know when those decisions come? I’m eager to know, and the website doesn’t provide a response date.
