I want to arrange a meeting with my admissions counselor and I have no idea what to say

I was deferred from the University of Miami early action and I will be in Miami soon so I thought it was a good idea to meet with the admissions counselor for my area. I want to contact her about setting up a meeting, but I have no idea what to say in the email. Any suggestions?

First you want to point out how happy you were to be deferred at such a fine school and how you’re looking forward to learning of your acceptance. Then you want to ask her how that process of selection works now that you’ve been deferred EA. Also ask her how to schedule some time with students and/or a professor in your intended major when you come to campus. Then you want to ask her what chance she thinks you have at being admitted. Then you want to express to her why you want to attend Miami more than any other school. If you can promise her that if admitted you will attend, for sure, then do so. Then ask for 10 minutes to sit down with you when you get to campus.
