Going to college in a week and I’m already having second thoughts about my major. My major is art studio with concentration in photography. I would rather declare a minor in photography and use my major on something I can actually find a steady job in. I don’t know what that is yet though. Could I just drop art studio as my major and go undecided? Or, is it too late?
Ha, almost all of my friends changed their majors after starting college. It’s definitely not too late. You should call your school and ask them what to do. You should be assigned an advisor who will help you through the process.
Your post made me smile, because my daughter’s major is art with a concentration in photography! She is adding majors in art history and some kind of museum curation. She’s a sophomore and already trying to figure out how to fit her love of photography into her future career.
