Is it possible to visit Chernobyl and/or Pripyat, Ukraine (the town adjacent to Chernobyl)? I might seem a little crazy, but this is something I have always wanted to do. I think it would be awesome to see what a ghost town these two places are now. Does anyone know if the Ukrainian government allows visitors to these two places? Anyone wanna join me?

You do realize that everything is still radioactive right? People who enter are told they enter at their own risk. I know that you have to sign papers saying the govt isn’t responsible if you get sick and want to live in the area. I’m not sure about visitors.

I don’t think anyone would stop you from going there, but I don’t understand why you would want to. It’s a very depressing place. The hospitals in the surrounding area are still treating people for radiation poisoning/the effects of radiation.

I like to live dangerously. And, yes, I do realize it is still radioactive.

I’m sure the pictures will help you pick out your accommodations. You could film a zombie film there.

Aha! I know! Let’s make a production. Story:

One night, a nuclear plant exploded. Everyone in the town became zombies. =O zomfg.

Dave, was the only one who survived. He was crazy. He planted peashooters to defend his front lawn.

“You do realize that everything is still radioactive right?”

I’ll go with you! Going to Chernobyl has always been my dream vacation.

I thought Baltimoron was back for a split second and got really confused

Ther’s good vids on utube about the whole place and inside the reactor and the radioactive blob. I just saw a news article on a lady who gave tours and lived by there and you can go stay at her house and she drives you there. There’s cool vids of scientists playing with radioactive isotopes and ripping apart smoke alarms and stuff. They used to sell britta water pitchers with uranium in it and it woud go in your water and it was supposed to be healthy. And they had the thing at the shoe store you could see if your shoes fit they would xray them and you could see you bones.
