Refer to the thread title. And I mean Ross as a Freshman. Can I do both or no?

As far as I know, the soonest you can be in Ross is your Sophomore year.

oh....i thought they take freshmen as well. I mean, that is why they have a Ross essay on their application isnt it? Anyway, if I want to get into Ross as soon as possible, whether it be freshman or soph year, should I be applying to the Honors program or not?

^^You can apply to Ross through the preferred admit program, you wont actually attend till your sophomore year but you will know when you enter UMich that you are already accepted to the B school.

I see...so if I want to pursue that path, would getting into the Honors Program help me, or actually prevent me from getting into Ross or soemthing.

Side note:

You can "take" Ross classes freshman year, but know they they try to enforce your schedule so that you take similar classes with everyone each year.

You can* deviate from the schedule, but you better be a good persuader.

Looks like no one here is actually answering your question. Yes, it would be a good idea to try to get into Honors if you want to get in to Ross. If you don't get in as a preferred admit to Ross and have to apply after freshman year like most people, it will give you a leg up on the other applicants to be in honors.
