I'm 22 and going to a community college. My initial plan was to transfer to a 4 yr state university but now that i want to major in advertising i was wondering if my best bet would be to go to an art school. I have finished all my GE classes except algebra 2 and pre calculus, which algebra 2 i have taken 3 times and failed (i'm not that stupid, it's just that i take the class through independent study program and after my 1st or 2nd test i forget to meet the deadline for the next test=get a 0, and too lazy to do the hw). I guess the reason i'm not so serious with school is because i feel like i'm wasting my time. I want to major in advertising and start now and transfer now so i don't have to waste another semester at the CC. I know that once i get into an art school and study what excites me i will be doing good. My question is do i need to finish with math before i can transfer to an art school? Where can i transfer so that i don't have to finish with math? I just don't want to waste another year at the community college + i'm tired of my city and want to move away!</p>
<p>it depends on the requirements of the school you want to transfer to...but if its an art school, i would think that theres a good chance they wouldnt require any further math courses</p>
<p>however if youre "too lazy" to do the homework and to show up for tests, it might be hard to potential transfer schools that youve got the motivation to succeed at their school</p>
