I want to work for the government, what should I major in?

As the title states, im looking for a job, where I can work for the government, prior to grad school(if I choose to do so.) I know I want to major in economics, because that's always been something I've enjoyed doing. But want to major in something more government related. What is a major, that could help me get a job with the government? I would love to work overseas or maybe the UN.

Thanks

Well there is:

Polisci

Public Policy Studies

International Relations

Economics (as you stated)

You could always double major. (Econ + one of the others mentioned)

And go for Georgetown SFS

Actually, a major, or at least coursework, related to homeland security might be the way to go --- see the following article: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2005/04/29/AR2005042901344.html

no don't-- homeland security is a joke
