Essays aside, I was just wondering if the difficulty of the questions were different in terms of the test.

Thanks

Thanks

It's shorter and the math section involves only geometry and Algebra 1, no Algebra 2.

The collegeboard SAT questions of the day are really easy. Easier than the questions I took on a practice PSAT.

Yes. (10 char)

Ditto. (10 char)

Probably.

Of course, my PSAT estimated that my SAT would be about 300 points lower than it really was with almost no practice (yeah... my PSAT was not so hot, to say the least).

So, if you get a horrible PSAT score, the only thing you really need to freak out about is... OMG!!! I'M NOT A NMF!!!

Yea, its much more easier. lol lablondie :)

not when the kid next to you is an autistic freshman who if he's not tapping his foot is tapping his pencil or something else obnoxious and distracting

I'mg oing to blame him for my lack of National Merit. 98th frickin percentile, I shouldn't've gotten a single math one wrong (I got a 790 SAT, and a 72 PSAT in the same year) and yet I managed to miss one of the easy ones, because I was so distracted

QUESTION:

Are the Critical Reading Passages and writing section easier? (content wise... I already know there is no essay)

I'd say teh writing section is easier. Scale score on the PSAT I got a 73. Scale score on the SAT I got a 64 (but my 12 essay brought me up to a 700, which is decent I guess)

I did the college board PSAT CR test and they are so easy. I got in the 95th percentile last year though in CR so maybe im biased

i think that you tend to improve your testing abilties from your sophmore/junior year to the time you take the SAT's, so I actually think that the SAT's may seem easier, even though they're really not. The only thing that bites about the SAT's is that they are SOOO LONG! but i'm done with that, so good luck!

I hate the critical reading section. Half of the questions are ambiguous. They always ask what is the BEST answer.

So, let's see, I have to find the BEST answer when some of the other choices are also correct. Not everyone's interpretation of something is the same.

Also, I hate those questions that ask what the author's message or attitude portrayed in the story was. They drive me crazy.

I just took the SAT last Saturday and felt it was easier than the PSAT. It felt so good to actually know how to solve the math problems, unlike last time I took the SAT.

As far as math and writing goes, no doubt the PSAT is easier. However, I feel the critical reading on the PSATs are harder than the SATs. Just because the PSAT Critical Reading is so ambiguous.

i thought the psat cr was easy. i took it today. not to be dumb, but i thought math was somewhat tricky, and i don't consider myself bad at math. writing was ridiculously easy.

did we take the same test? haha

the selections were just terrible, and a lot of the questions had 2 possible answers, depending on interpretation

writing is a lot easier on the PSATs. I had a 78 writing last october, and dropped to a 640 by the may SAT.

I did better on the SAT, because the essay was a mad boost to my score.
